On October 16, 2007 Ocala Recycling processed its first scrap car through our automobile shredder and we haven’t looked back since!
After pouring over 7,500 cubic yards of cement and working more than 10 months on construction, including the installation of a dedicated transformer station and railroad siding, Ocala Recycling has positioned itself to serve all of central Florida (and beyond) as a shredder processor for cars and scrap steel.
This facility, only 2.2 miles north of our main plant, boasts state of the art equipment and the latest technology in shredder processing so that we can purchase and process our customer’s shreddable scrap more competitively and efficiently.
It is a public friendly facility opened Monday through Saturday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and cash payments are made through our ATM located at the facility. |
